Dr. Kathleen McNeil knew even as a child that she wanted to become a dentist someday. Her Father was an orthodontist, and her uncle was a general dentist, so Dr. McNeil learned early on from her family how important dental health can be.

A native of Corpus Christi, Dr. McNeil originally moved to Austin to begin her education at UT and quickly fell in love with the city. She is attracted by the natural beauty of Austin, with its many parks, greenbelts, lakes, and rivers. She also appreciates the friendly, open-minded attitudes of the people who live here. Upon graduating from dental school in San Antonio in May 2006, she immediately moved back to Austin to pursue her career in dentistry.

Because they share similar perspectives toward the practice of dentistry, Dr. McNeil elected to begin working with Dr. Smith. She admires Dr. Smith’s professionalism and commitment to the health and well-being of her patients as well as the caring friendships the doctor forms with those who come to her for dental care.

Like Dr. Smith, Dr. McNeil wants to teach her patients how essential dental health is to good general health. She is committed not only to providing expert care but also helping her patients feel comfortable and making their dental experience as easy and stress-free as possible.

In her spare time, Dr. McNeil likes to travel (mainly to places with nice beaches) and to be near the water. She also enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. McNeil is excited about working with Dr. Smith and will be seeing patients all day Monday and Friday mornings. Now, we are eagerly accepting patients five days a week. If you have a friend or family member who would benefit from our expanded services, we would appreciate your referral.
